I’m sorry I haven’t had the time to give you guys proper writings as of late. Some of my current work has gone too my portfolio while job searching and that’s not cool for you (my reader). Also I haven’t written or played anything really great that I’d wanted to share with you, so I decided that we’d test something new out here on the blog. Looking at a TV show and seeing what you guys thought.
You might have heard of this little show called archer, the spy drama spoof created by Adam Reed (who also created Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo). It’s well written and really well voiced by an awesome cast. I might go more into detail one day on the series but for now lets just start off with a certain episode.
Most TV shows at some point will do something called a “Bottle Episode” where the main cast is stuck together in a familiar setting (and if done well you’ll never even notice whats going on). Friends had “The One Where No One’s Ready“, Breaking Bad was “Fly“, and lastly Seinfeld had “The Chinese Restaurant“. This sixth season of Archer had one entitled “Vision Quest” (Yes based off of that 1985 movie).
The Premise is that all seven main characters are stuck together on an elevator to get to an early morning meeting. The Elevator breaks and pandemonium starts. Nearly the entire episodes is focused on conversations and the history of the characters interacting together.
It’s amazing that after six seasons of Archer I can still be amazed at how much fun Archer is. We soon have the group fighting over there small things like food and about who has to go to the bathroom (even though they have been stuck for less than ten minutes)
Then cool minds try to prevail but *ahem* certain people ruin it (hint: something something forty shorty)
Help never finds it way
And then everyone wants to kill archer
But it’s alright because it all turns out well in the end!
